Quadrant patrolling still has 149 pending zones

The new Police Service and Patrolling Model (MSPP) in the Dominican Republic has yet to achieve its full territorial deployment as part of the ongoing police reform. Currently, only 206 of the 355 planned quadrants are operational, leaving 149 zones still pending implementation.

Designed as a central pillar of the institutional reform, the MSPP aims to fundamentally transform the relationship between the police force and the citizenry. The current status indicates that the program remains in a transitional phase as it works toward its total coverage goals.
