NewzComedians Patton Oswalt and Michelle Wolf have publicly called on fellow comedian Sebastian Maniscalco to reverse a SiriusXM channel takeover. The move by Maniscalco has sparked concern among prominent comics who argue the takeover disrupts an important royalty pipeline for working comedians.
The appeal highlights ongoing tensions surrounding digital radio programming changes and their financial impact on artists within the comedy industry. By urging a reversal, Oswalt and Wolf are seeking to protect the revenue streams traditionally afforded to working-class comedians through the platform.
