Pedernales awaits regulations to activate the announced spaceport

The development of a spaceport in Pedernales is envisioned as a major innovation intended to position the Dominican Republic on the regional map for the aerospace sector. Despite being heralded as a significant technological and economic opportunity for the country, the project currently awaits the establishment of official regulations.

Six months after the initial announcement and five months following the formal launch of the project, the regulatory framework necessary to activate and advance the spaceport remains pending, creating a delay in its implementation.
