IMSS pensioners can recover money from Infonavit: requirements and process to apply

Beginning in 2026, retirees under the IMSS Law of 73 will be eligible to recover accumulated savings from their Infonavit Housing Subaccount. This process applies specifically to individuals who contributed to the fund prior to July 1, 1997, and who have not previously utilized these resources for housing purposes.

The initiative provides a mechanism for former workers to reclaim these financial assets upon reaching retirement. Interested parties must meet established requirements and follow a formal application process to access the funds held in their subaccounts.
