Pentagon’s count leaves out some deaths in Middle East during Iran war

The service members in question died while participating in missions that were unrelated to the active military operations in the region. Among those identified is Maj. Sorffly Davius of the 42nd Infantry Division, who passed away at Camp Buehring in Kuwait under undetermined circumstances.
