Perelló responds to Marlaska that the judge in the Ceuta crisis fulfilled her role: "We must show the utmost respect"

Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska has submitted a complaint to the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) regarding Judge María Tardón's handling of the investigation into the migrant crisis in Ceuta. Specifically, Marlaska objected to the National Court judge's order prohibiting the police investigative team from sharing information with their hierarchical superiors.

In response, Isabel Perelló, President of the Supreme Court and the CGPJ, defended the magistrate's actions. Perelló stated that Judge Tardón acted within the scope of her constitutional functions and emphasized that maximum respect must be shown toward her judicial role.
