The Ministry of Health revealed how much the UPC payments to EPSs will increase to finance the system in 2027: “It is generating more”

The Colombian Ministry of Health has announced a projected increase of 12% to 13% for the Unidad de Pago por Capitación (UPC) for the year 2027. This adjustment is intended to provide necessary financing for the national health system. The projection was presented by the Minister of Health during a meeting with the legislative caucus to discuss the financial sustainability of the sector.
