Person dies after being struck by Amtrak train at MBTA Commuter Rail station

A person was struck and killed by an Amtrak train at the MBTA Commuter Rail station in Attleboro Tuesday afternoon, according to the city’s fire department. Attleboro firefighters responded to the train strike around 2:50 p.m., the department said. At the scene, they found a person who had been hit by a train on the inbound tracks.

The person was declared dead at the scene.
