Peru lost 3-1 to Venezuela and did not qualify for the 2026 South American Men's Volleyball Championship

On Saturday, August 8, the Peruvian men's national volleyball team faced Venezuela in a decisive qualifying match for the 2026 South American Championship. Under the direction of coach Marcos Blanco, Peru was defeated 3-1 by the Venezuelan team, commonly referred to as the 'vinotinto'.

This loss resulted in Peru's elimination from the tournament. As a consequence of the defeat, the team will not participate in the 2026 South American Championship.
