Peru court hands lengthy prison terms in killing of Indigenous Amazon defender

A Peruvian court convicted four men on Monday evening for the 2023 murder-for-hire of Indigenous rainforest defender Quinto Inuma Alvarado. The defendants received prison sentences ranging from 15 to 35 years for their roles in the killing.
