Peru: A magnitude 4 earthquake was recorded in Pausa

Two separate seismic events occurred in Peru on Friday, August 14. The first earthquake, measuring magnitude 4, was recorded at 12:29 local time in the city of Pausa, located in the Paucar del Sara Sara province of the Ayacucho department. The data was provided by the Centro Sismológico Nacional of the Instituto Geofísico de Perú.

A second earthquake of the same magnitude occurred later that day at 18:07 local time. This event was centered near the city of Lircay, in the Angaraes province of the Huancavelica department. Both incidents were documented by the national seismic monitoring authorities.
