Petro pide crear "guardias libertadoras" a cuatro días de investidura de De la Espriella

Colombian outgoing President Gustavo Petro called for the formation of "guardias libertadoras" (liberating guards), describing them as forms of popular militia and resistance. The announcement was made on Monday in Bogotá.

The appeal comes just four days ahead of the scheduled inauguration of President-elect Abelardo de la Espriella.
