British musician Phil Collins revealed that a significant portion of his iconic songs were created spontaneously without prior planning. During discussions about his creative process, he explained that approximately 80 percent of his work was improvised.

Collins noted that he rarely sat down deliberately to decide the specific subjects of his lyrics. Instead, much of his songwriting emerged organically during the composition process.
