The 54th running of the $2.5-million Philip Feanny Gold Cup takes centre stage at Caymanas Park tomorrow as a select field of five runners go to post in the Graded Stakes/Open Allowance feature. Run over 7 furlongs (1,400m) for three-year-olds and upward, the Gold Cup is one of the prestigious “Win and You’re In” races that carries automatic entry into December’s ultra-rich Mouttet Mile. RIDEALLDAY (USA): (4 gr/rn c by Vekoma – Song Of Hours) – The current Horse of the Year. He was a disappointing fifth in the Diamond Mile on July 25 after stumbling at the start and finishing 13 lengths behind Phenomenal Power. Prior to that he was flying, rattling off three straight wins including a track record in the Ian Levy Cup over 8½ furlongs on April 6.

With that run behind him, Rideallday should be ready and is tipped to win here. IS THAT A FACT (USA): (6 b h by Palace Malice – Valid Code) – Has done little to suggest he can be competitive at this level. THE PRINCE’S SPUR (USA): (7 b g by Cairo Prince – Flying Spur) – The wildcard.
