In Honduras "there are cycles of impunity," says the global director of Amnesty International.

An international solidarity delegation formally requested that the Honduran government comply with four rulings issued by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (CorteIDH). The request, made on September 19 in Tegucigalpa, centers on the protection of rights for four Garífuna communities.

The appeal highlights ongoing tensions regarding the implementation of international legal mandates within Honduras. The CorteIDH rulings are intended to address specific grievances and protect the territorial and human rights of the Garífuna people, who have long sought state adherence to these judicial decisions.
