Sumar, concerned that the extent of the crisis in Ceuta was not detected: They should have made more of an effort to prevent it

Following the publication of intelligence reports regarding the mass entry of migrants into Ceuta on July 30 and 31, political reactions from the Basque Nationalist Party (PNV), Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya (ERC), and Sumar have highlighted concerns over how the government handled intelligence information.

Sumar expressed concern that the severity of the crisis went undetected and uncommunicated, stating that greater preventive efforts should have been made. Meanwhile, PNV described the situation as concerning for the government, noting that intelligence data regarding the potential influx was improperly interpreted.

In a different assessment, ERC interpreted the released reports as evidence that a faction of the state, specifically the CNI, operates in opposition to the government.
