Ukraine, Poland condemn Russian strikes near border as 'escalation'

On Sunday, Ukrainian and Polish officials condemned a series of Russian drone strikes conducted near the Polish-Ukrainian border. The attacks occurred in close proximity to a frontier checkpoint and struck a train traveling toward Warsaw. Ukrainian rail authorities confirmed that former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and former CIA Director David Petraeus were present on the train during the incident.

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, during a visit to Kyiv, characterized the strikes as a deliberate escalation of the ongoing conflict.
