(LEAD) Police raid Korea Football Association over controversial appointment of ex-head coach Hong

South Korean police raided the offices of the Korea Football Association (KFA) in Seoul on Thursday as part of an ongoing investigation. The raid stems from a controversy surrounding the appointment of former head coach Hong Myung-bo.

The inquiry into the national football federation's management practices has also involved a previous hearing attended by Hong and former KFA president Chung Mong-gyu.
