Police seek charges against Bangkok bar owner for deadly fire

Thai police are seeking to file six criminal charges against the owner of a Bangkok bar following a fatal fire that occurred last month. The proposed charges include negligence causing death, serious injury, harm, and fire, alongside criminal mischief and operating an entertainment venue without a valid licence.

The deadly blaze took place on July 13 and resulted in the deaths of 37 people. The ongoing police investigation has led the lead investigator to move forward with multiple legal accusations against the establishment's owner.
