Policía portuguesa detiene a sospechoso de violar a una peregrina en el Camino de Santiago

Portuguese authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with the August robbery and rape of a foreign national who was walking the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route. The assault took place in the northern locality of Vila do Conde.

Law enforcement announced the arrest via an official statement, bringing a suspect into custody months after the incident occurred against the pilgrim in northern Portugal.
