Most U.K. teens to opt out of planned social media curfew, poll finds

According to a poll published Friday, a majority of teenagers in the United Kingdom would choose to opt out of a proposed government-backed social media curfew. The measures, intended for older teenagers aged 16 and 17, would restrict access between midnight and 6 a.m.

The initiative for the overnight restrictions was initially unveiled in July by former Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The recent poll findings highlight potential challenges for the government's plans, as the target demographic indicates widespread resistance to the proposed curfew.
