Nayely Altagracia Capellán is recovering from an attempted femicide after surviving an attack by her ex-partner in which she sustained 26 stab wounds. The incident occurred in Las Cabuyas, located in La Vega, Dominican Republic.

Due to severe heat and inadequate living conditions inside her modest home, her family was forced to place her recovery bed outside in a public alleyway.
