Port of Cleveland reaches deal to pursue freight ferry service to Ontario

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Port of Cleveland and a Canadian maritime developer have signed a memorandum of understanding to advance a long-discussed idea for truck ferry service across Lake Erie, a project port officials say is economically viable and could launch in early 2028.
