Possible loss of drive power leads to recall of thousands of electric Toyota vehicles

Toyota is recalling 8,521 of its 2026 C-HR electric vehicles because of a problem that can cause the loss of drive power. A software programming error can cause the electric drive system battery to become overcharged in certain situations.
