Powerful nor’easter floods Northeast, leaves over 130,000 without power as high tides threaten coast

The storm's impact led to significant power outages across the region, with reports varying between more than 100,000 and over 130,000 customers left without electricity. The severe weather system was expected to linger through Sunday.

Tragically, the storm resulted in a fatality prior to Sunday when a New York City housing authority worker was killed after being struck by a fallen tree on Saturday.
