Prabowo targets Indonesia to stop importing oil and LPG within three years

President Prabowo Subianto has announced an ambitious national target to achieve independence from oil and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports within the next three years. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance domestic energy security and reduce reliance on foreign energy supplies.

To support this transition, the administration has also set a goal to complete the construction of 100 gigawatts of solar power plants (PLTS) within the same three-year timeframe. These combined efforts represent a significant push toward domestic energy self-sufficiency and the expansion of renewable energy infrastructure in Indonesia.
