Inmates in Moca cause incident after search

On the night of Thursday, August 27, an incident occurred involving eight inmates at the Centro de Corrección y Rehabilitación (CCR-XII) La Isleta located in Moca, Dominican Republic. The disturbance took place within one of the facility's modules following a search operation conducted by prison authorities.

During the search, correctional personnel confiscated illicit substances and smartphones from the inmates. The confiscation of these prohibited items directly preceded the outbreak of the disturbance among the eight prisoners involved in the module.
