Probe launched after body of mainland Chinese woman found in sea off Lamma

Hong Kong police have launched an investigation following the discovery of a 53-year-old mainland Chinese woman's body in the waters near Lamma Island on Saturday morning. Authorities were alerted to the incident at 10:19 a.m. after the body was observed floating in the sea in the vicinity of the Lamma Power Station.

Emergency response teams, including firefighters, were deployed to the scene to recover the remains. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman's death is currently ongoing.
