Progressives clinch win with Lawrence's victory in House primary to face Barrett in Michigan

Sunrise Movement co-founder Will Lawrence has won the Democratic primary for the Lansing-based 7th Congressional District in Michigan, according to projections by Decision Desk HQ. Lawrence secured victory in a three-way primary race.

Backed by Senator Bernie Sanders, Lawrence's primary win represents a notable victory for progressives within the party. He will now advance to face Republican Representative Tom Barrett in the general election this fall.
