Progressives unveil legislation cracking down on Flock cameras

Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) introduced the Ban Flock Act on Friday. The proposed legislation seeks to prohibit federal agencies from utilizing automatic license plate readers (ALPRs) and would pause federal grant funding to state and local governments that maintain contracts for such technology.
