Public-Private Partnerships Bill seeks to streamline procedures

The executive branch of the Dominican Republic submitted a general bill on Public-Private Partnerships to Congress on Thursday. The proposed legislation aims to streamline administrative procedures by significantly reducing the duration of evaluation, bidding, and adjudication processes.

Currently, these procedures take between 24 and 76 months to complete. The submitted project seeks to cut this timeframe down to a period ranging between 10 and 1 months, addressing long-standing bureaucratic delays in executing these collaborative infrastructure and service initiatives.
