False, there is no censorship in audience guidelines: Sheinbaum

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has rejected claims of censorship regarding new guidelines issued by the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission. The regulations, which are currently undergoing a public consultation process, are intended to guarantee the protection of audience rights.

Sheinbaum defended the measures by clarifying that the guidelines do not impose state censorship. Instead, she stated that the policy requires telecommunications companies to designate an internal representative responsible for overseeing and ensuring the protection of those rights.
