MIT project becomes a reality: a hybrid aircraft with a range of over 1,900 kilometers

An engineering project originating as a classroom assignment at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has transitioned into a commercial reality. The initiative has secured an investment of 850 million dollars to enable the company Electra to manufacture hybrid aircraft.

The newly funded aircraft features a range of over 1,900 kilometers and is designed with the capability to take off from spaces equivalent to the size of a soccer field or small area.
