Draft laws on alcohol sales in the Chamber of Deputies

Following a recent constitutional ruling in the Dominican Republic, two legislative bills have been introduced in the Chamber of Deputies to regulate the sale of alcoholic beverages. The proposals come less than a month after the Constitutional Court declared unconstitutional a previous decree that had established restrictions on the commercialization of alcohol.

The newly submitted bills aim to legally establish the rules governing alcohol sales through the legislative process, addressing the regulatory vacuum left by the court's invalidation of the earlier executive decree.
