The modular bridge will be moved to Apurímac after the collapse of the Pampatama bridge caused by two dump trucks passing despite restrictions, the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) announces.

On Saturday, the Pampatama bridge located over the Chalhuanca River in the Aymaraes province of Apurímac collapsed. The structural failure occurred while two dump trucks loaded with minerals were crossing the bridge.

As a result of the collapse, the two transport vehicles became trapped amidst the rubble of the fallen structure and the river area.
