Puerto Rican cities hit with water rationing measures as record dry conditions persist

Puerto Rico is implementing water rationing measures affecting San Juan and other major cities due to persistent, record-dry conditions gripping the U.S. territory. The drought has created severe water shortages with no immediate relief in sight.

Under the new measures, more than 180,000 customers will experience service interruptions, going without water for 48 hours at a time as authorities manage the dwindling supply amid the ongoing crisis.
