Carles Puigdemont, the former president of the Generalitat and leader of Junts, has publicly welcomed the Constitutional Court's backing of the Amnesty Law.

Despite celebrating the legal decision, Puigdemont warned that the ruling does not resolve the underlying political conflict between Catalonia and the rest of Spain.
