The development of Punta Bergantín will implement a permanent research program designed to measure its economic, social, and territorial impact. The initiative focuses on Villa Montellano, Puerto Plata, and surrounding communities in the northern region of the Dominican Republic.

This monitoring program is established as part of an official agreement signed by the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) and other participating entities, ensuring continuous academic and empirical evaluation of the project's regional footprint throughout its rollout.
