The Punta Bergantín development project in the Dominican Republic has established a permanent research program to evaluate its economic, social, and territorial impact. The initiative focuses on the project's influence on Villa Montellano, Puerto Plata, and surrounding communities in the northern region of the country. The program was formalized through an agreement involving the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra.
