A house fire displaced seven residents and two cats Saturday morning in unincorporated Fort Lauderdale, authorities confirmed. According to Battalion Chief Michael Kane, a spokesman for Broward Fire Rescue, crews responded to a fire at a home near the 600 block of Northwest 24th Avenue. Kane said firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames coming from a second-floor room at the rear of the home.He said crews launched an “aggressive interior attack and contained the fire to a single room.” The fire was extinguished about 15 minutes after firefighters arrived, according to Kane.

Ocean Boulevard in Boca Raton, according to Boca Raton Fire Rescue officials. Fire rescue officials said Boca Raton police and BRFR medics responded to the crash at about 10:25 a.m. They said the pilot was not injured.
