Quality standards key to $1 trillion economy goal

The Tanzanian government has launched the Africa Quality Mark (AQM) as part of a strategic initiative to enhance the competitiveness of the nation's exports. Officials emphasized that adhering to rigorous quality standards is a fundamental requirement for the country to reach its long-term economic objective of achieving a one-trillion US dollar economy by 2050. The launch was presided over by the Deputy Minister for Industry and Trade in Dar es Salaam.
