A study conducted by the Market Research Group (GRIM) of the Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola (USIL) indicates that 49% of residents in Lima Metropolitan area fear their homes would collapse during a magnitude 8.8 earthquake. The survey was carried out between August 14 and August 20, 2026, involving a sample of 411 participants.
