The Dominican Republic will once again bring the security situation in Haiti before the United Nations, advocating for the renewal of the mandate for the Gang Suppression Force (GSF). The announcement was made on Sunday by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Víctor “Ito” Bisonó.

The diplomatic initiative highlights the Dominican Republic's ongoing involvement in addressing security concerns in neighboring Haiti through international frameworks. By pushing for the continuation of the multinational force's mandate at the UN, Santo Domingo seeks sustained global engagement in stabilizing the security crisis caused by armed gangs in the region.
