Recent rain has little impact on national monsoon deficit

Recent rainfall across parts of India, including Delhi, Haryana, and eastern Rajasthan, has provided localized relief but failed to resolve the ongoing national monsoon deficit. States such as Bihar and Punjab continue to experience below-average precipitation levels.

Despite the persistent national deficit, the sowing of Kharif crops is nearing completion nationwide. Additionally, rainfall received in August is expected to help replenish water reservoir levels across the affected regions.
