Mexico faces a care crisis: 9 out of 10 people with disabilities do not go to specialized centers

Mexico is currently confronting a significant care crisis, characterized by the fact that nine out of ten individuals with disabilities do not attend specialized centers. To address this challenge, the country faces the pressing task of reducing inequality within the organization of care structures.

At the core of the proposed response is the prioritization of building a National and Progressive Care System. This system is intended to integrate essential public policies, services, resources, and shared responsibilities to better support vulnerable populations and alleviate the ongoing care deficit.
