The remarks come amid a political clash following a court ruling involving Italian intelligence agents, with opposition parties demanding that Minister Antonio Tajani appear before Parliament.

Minister Tajani defended the government's position by describing the recent ruling as limited and reiterating the commitment to identifying Regeni's killers without political instrumentalization. Meanwhile, defense lawyers for the intelligence officers involved are preparing an appeal, and Senate President Ignazio La Russa affirmed that Italy will take all necessary actions.
