Rejig of games law to include board games, trading cards

The Digital Economy and Society (DES) Ministry in Thailand is currently revising the draft of the Games Industry Promotion Act. The proposed amendments aim to expand the legal definition of games to incorporate board games, trading cards, and their associated commercial activities.

This legislative update seeks to broaden the regulatory scope of the industry. By including these traditional gaming formats, the government intends to formalize their status within the national framework for games industry promotion.
