'Remake of Dravidian model': MK Stalin calls Vijay government's budget a 'waste'

Tamil Nadu opposition leader M.K. Stalin has publicly criticized the budget presented by the TVK government, characterizing the fiscal plan as a waste. Stalin argued that the budget fails to offer a new vision for the state, instead repackaging existing schemes under the guise of a new initiative he labeled a 'remake of the Dravidian model.'

The government's budget proposal centers on an ambitious economic roadmap, with the finance minister outlining a target to reach a $1.5 trillion economy by 2031. Beyond Stalin’s critique, other opposition parties have also voiced concerns regarding the administration's performance, specifically highlighting a perceived lack of progress on previously promised initiatives.
