Dominican Republic and the rejection of foreign migrants

During the month of July, the Dominican Republic's General Directorate of Migration denied entry to 116 foreign nationals and designated an additional 28 individuals under a similar restrictive category. These actions were taken in accordance with the national Migration Law, which authorizes the state to bar entry based on concerns regarding criminality, terrorism, or prior legal prohibitions.
