The Dominican Republic and its population projections for the future

According to new national population estimates and projections spanning from 1950 to 2100 by the National Office of Statistics, the Dominican Republic is heading toward a significant demographic shift in its population structure.

The data indicates that by the year 2044, the country will record more individuals aged 60 and older than minors under 15 years of age for the first time in its history.
